Patrick has been taking photographs since he was 5 years old, but turned professional only in 2011 after achieving an honours degree in digital imaging, at Reading University.
Patrick now works from his studio / workshop in Ashtead in Surrey, where he enjoys portrait photography for equine clients, cyclists and families.
One big selling point is being able to offer a one stop shop from photography to prints and finished framed products “Using my previous career as an actor / performer to empathise with, and relax clients on shoots, coupled with a knowledge of semantics and composition I can consult with clients on the aesthetics of their individual product choices and tastes.”
Patrick has a passion for image, for visual representation, and for colour and light. It fascinates me that the natural play of light from the sun can have so many effects and illuminations as it touches the Earth. Sometimes hard hitting and sometimes softly caressing as it penetrates the atmosphere in an infinite dance of photons, temperatures and colours. The sheer science behind the electric magnetic spectrum and the interplay of that with lens and eyesight, and human phycology reminds me always of the inner universe and connects me to the wonder of creation. Capturing light and vision for me through photography is paramount to how I have lived my life, and offering it to others is an exciting pleasure.
